Enabling Claude Code to work more autonomously

Claude Code adds VS Code extension (beta), terminal v2, checkpoints.
- Real-time inline diffs in dedicated VS Code sidebar panel.
- Ctrl+r searchable prompt history in refreshed terminal.
Checkpoint system: rewind any state via Esc×2 or /rewind.
- Pursue wide-scale tasks without fear of irreversible breakage.
Subagents delegate specialized tasks; enables parallel development.
Hooks auto-trigger actions at defined workflow points.
Background tasks run long processes without blocking active work.
Claude Agent SDK (ex-Code SDK): tools + permissions for custom agents.
- Live deployments: financial compliance, cybersecurity, code debugging.
Default model upgraded to Sonnet 4.5.
